Bicycling and Gator Gears
As part of the University’s commitment to sustainability, we recommend that all members of campus consider bicycling and walking as methods of transportation for commuting, meetings and other University-related functions. Both offer excellent health benefits, as well as reducing fuel consumption and campus vehicle traffic.

Campus Cab by Lyft
Campus Cab by Lyft provides free transportation for University of Florida faculty and staff engaged in official business between the hours of 7:45 AM – 5:15 PM, Monday – Friday. Service is provided to the Main Campus, East Campus, and to several UF-owned off-campus locations.

Campus Connector
The Campus Connector is a fixed-route walk-on shuttle service connecting faculty, staff and students at multiple destinations across campus. The shuttle is free to passengers and does not require a Gator 1 ID to ride.

Gator Lift
Gator Lift provides free shuttle service for students, faculty, and staff withtemporary or permanent mobility-related disabilities throughout campus and to a limited number of off-campus, UF-owned properties.

Micromobility
Students, faculty and staff at the University of Florida now have another transportation option in the City of Gainesville’s Micromobility Pilot Program through a collaborative effort between the City and UF TAPS. The program allows three vendors – Bird, Spin and Veo – each to deploy a fleet of electric scooters for rent throughout the city and on campus.
